So, if you have read the past posts you realize that it is a significant challenge for me to create time to create thought pictures via the computer for others to share.
Since the last blog I have become a blessed new 'old' dad again with the birth of an amazing baby girl with a full head of red hair and what appear still to be piercing blue eyes. Her name is Reese Lilyanna (pronounced lilleeonnu) and she is now six weeks old. All are well and both Megan and Destiney have birthday'd since the last blog, Desty is now 14 and Megan is ........ well, still much younger than me!! Jared has travelled to Turkey, Beth and Ella Claire are looking great as she is at 25 weeks, and Mamaw and Papaw Ownby (my amazing mom and dad) celebrated an incredible 50th wedding anniversary.
Jared preached at Pinnacle Bible Church that same Sunday as the anniversary party and Erin has been visiting with us at Pinnacle BC as well. For any who may offered prayers for us we give you many thanks and pray for God's richest blessings to flow to and overwhelm you.
Our focus in God's Word has led us to study John the Baptist and has taken us to a study of "Application of Divine Truth to My Life" and so we look to the scriptures with the guidance of the Divine Spirit to study the process of applying the word, the truth, the way, His Way; as we are seeking to become true disciples, {hearing, understanding, keeping, applying, sharing, thinking, holding onto, loving, panting for} the many commands of Jesus the Christ, God's Son, our Saviour. Our goal is to Ephesians 4:13 all Grow, and to John 15:7-10 Abide in his LOVE.
May you find your way to this place also, the place of growth unto the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ, the place of abiding in his Amazing Grace and Engulfing Love.
Blessings to all, in Jesus Name!!! RevJeffO

Much to Learn?
Hello again,
I just got home from along commission meeting where my workload as Sevier County's Planning Director just increased tremendously. I know that in all these trials and challenges, God is growing me in the areas of faithfulness, perseverance, and memory( you know, He is in charge, He has the plan for me and my family, be faithful in the small things and He will give you charge over much). Therefore, I will continue to do my job as unto the Lord with my whole heart(kardia) and know that He is Romans 8:28ing for me because He loves me, and I'm learning to love HIM.
At Pinnacle Bible Church we are continuing our study of the Names and Titles of our Lord who is Jesus (Jehovah Shuah - God's Salvation) the Christ (Christos - the anointed one). We are currently on one of our many sidetrips in the Word studying the I AM's of Christ and are having a great time gaining in Knowledge and Grace, 2 Peter 3:18. This coming week we shall look at the John 11 scripture with Jesus saying " I am the Resurrection and the Life" ; "He that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live!" This study always reminds me of the Carmen song of several years ago, Lazarus. You should check it out sometime if you like scriptural story songs.
We solicit your prayers for our study and spiritual walk, for Megan and the baby, for Beth and the baby, for Jared and his fellow Thailand mission travelers, and for Strong Guidance for business and job decisions.
Grace and Peace be multiplied to you in Christ!! JeffO

Blessed Beyond Belief
Hi all who may read this,
As a first attempt to "blog", I ask that you will consider praying for our family and Church and for me as I strive to grow to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ. I am 47 years old, Blessed with an incredible wife (Megan) and family and am often overwhelmed by the Love of God as He has chosen to manifest Himself to me. My son is Jared and he and his wife Beth are living in Wake Forest while Jared attends Southeastern Baptist College and Seminary. They are expecting our first Grandchild and we solicit your prayers for them, the baby, and their doctors. Our other children are Erin, who is 24, gorgeous, and living and working in Sevierville; Destiney who is adorable and every bit of thirteen; Ryan Grace who is beautiful, 4, and going on thirteen; Rylee Faith who is 2 and an incredibly gorgeous challenge as our "little Megan", and our 5th daughter is on the way, due in September around the 20th.
We are blessed to worship with an amazing group of real folks at Pinnacle Bible Church of Jesus Christ, and have been gathering together for almost 5 years now. We meet in the Glades Community at the Hemlock Hills Chapel off Proffitt Road and tell people to "come as you are", as we attempt to worship in Spirit and Truth, in a casual but reverent atmosphere. Our message is a simple one of biblical truth, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and thou shalt be saved, and thru and In Christ there is abundant life, peace, joy, strength and grace provision for every need.
In shorts and hiking boots, as pastor, I strive to honor the Lord Jesus by teaching the word in great detail, depending upon His Spirit who is Teacher and Guide, and we strive to worship thru passionate contemporary and traditional music and to remember God's Love which was demonstrated in Christ's Loving Sacrifice thru Communion and Prayer.
Perhaps my rambling has not bored you too terribly, and I suppose that with more practice the words will flow as easily thru my fingers as they often circulate so easily in my heart.
Thanks be to God for all He has done and for all He will do in Christ!
